About LMAC
Latgale Art and Craft Centre was established in 2003 as a result of EU PHARE 2000 ESC programme's project in Latgale and consist of three parts - the renewed 19th century boulder manor house (barn), a modern style outbuilding, and a cellar. The centre is situated in a picturesque site on penninsula between the Dubna and the Daugava rivers. It is easily reached by car, bus, bike, bout and on foot. LACC is also easu of access for disabled persons. Beside the constant historical crafts exhibition "CRAFTSMEN IN LATGALE" located in the renewed manor's building, the modern part of the building offers temporary art exhibitions that change on monthly basis. Thus, you can see (and try if you want!) old craftsmen's tools as well as get the feeling of nowadays arts and crafts. The centre is also trying to attract foreign astists and craftsmen's exhibitions. Latgale Art and Craft Centre offers for rent a nice conference hall equipped with a codoscope, a video - projector, a screen and a blackboard, with roominess of up to 50 persons. Silence of the surroundings and the enjoyable landscape of the Daugava's bank add a special aura to the trainings and other activities in LACC.
